    Shooting the cheese

The mountain pasture of Lécheron is located 2094 meters above sea level, from June to August farmers moved their cows, and produced locally cheese (cow tomes) according to ancestral methods. This production of cheeses manufactured during summer descended into the valley of Champagny le Haut to the hamlet of Bois to be sold, and gives rise to a festival.
No roads allowing vehicles to transport these cheeses, the descent is effected on sledges, "the orsets" with two men, one pulling the sled in front, the other holding a rope in the back, in fact, the descent is performed on steep and narrow paths, is particularly spectacular.
