Windmill of Redounel
Completely restored, the Rédounel windmill is one of the few still standing among the twenty or so in the Grands Causses. It is located at the top of Mont Redon and dominates the Templar and hospitable city of Couvertoirade. Built in the 17th century, it was used to make flour. Culminating at an altitude of 808 meters, it measures 6.60 m high, with a diameter of 5.60 m. The fairing resting on a raceway at the top of the tower allowed the miller to rotate the wings according to the winds.
