The Monal village is a listed site, because of its great architectural interest, historic and landscape. It is within walking distance from a forest path from the resort of Sainte Foy Tarentaise.
This beautiful little village of Haute-Tarentaise located 1,874 meters above sea level facing the glaciers of Mont Pourri, is built in a flat area surrounded by larches. Village where most of the buildings date from the eighteenth and nineteenth century has a chapel (St. Clair), and the old cellars milk that allowed the time to refrigerate the milk for to keep.
In contemplating this beautiful village, it seems that time is stopped.
