Bird photography in flight is not easy, some species are easier to photograph than others:

    • The easiest being those of large size, and having a fairly slow flight, such as Egrets, or Grey heron.
    • The difficulty increases with those with a faster flight like ducks, but still having a straight flight.
    • Another degree of difficulty appears with smaller sized species (most waders), and often making hooks unpredictable in flight, such as terns.
    • The most difficult to photograph is the passerines, due to their small sizes and the speed of their flights, and trajectories sometimes acrobatic.
